OUR MISSION

“To Put Jesus F.I.R.S.T.” in Our Lives, Our Church, and Our Community

CORE COMMITMENTS and VALUES…In order to help people put Jesus FIRST in their lives, church, and community, we commit our ministry around…

F.ELLOWSHIP Fellowship focuses on connecting people to the larger body of Christ. This means creating a non-threatening atmosphere to build relationships. Being a church that has restarted and refocused in a new direction, we understand the importance providing a way for people to build relationships and friendships. Therefore, we are committed to creating environments help people build these accepting relationships. - Acts 2:46-47

OUR CORE VALUE that drives this ministry states that everyone needs to know they are loved by God unconditionally, which we believe starts with his people. Remembering that God is the one solely responsible for changing people’s lives, our responsibility is to love them and walk with them through that journey.

I.NSTRUCT Instructing is another word for discipleship and focuses on conforming to the likeness of Christ. This conforming deals with the well-being of one’s relationship to Christ, to the family, and to each other and to provide avenues to the wholeness of Christ through teaching, discussion, and community. We understand that discipleship is not just about spiritual growth. It is about balance in life, it is about discovering “shalom”, a Hebrew term for balance and well-being. It takes into consideration that Christ had both emotional and relational balance as well as spiritual balance. - Ephesians 4:22-23 Romans 12:2, 2 Peter 3:17-18

OUR CORE VALUE that drives this ministry states that spiritual and relational Health matter to God. Every church has seen the impact that a broken marriage and dysfunctional homes can have on a person’s spiritual walk. In order to meet one’s spiritual need also means taking into consideration the many other factors that stand as roadblocks to that goal.

R.EACHING Reaching is another word for evangelism, focuses on communicating the message of Christ. This involves placing a priority on learning how to build new bridges of friendships to unchurched or de-churched people in a non-threatening manner, and how to make the best of those relationships in introducing them to Christ. Jesus said that he came to “seek and to save the lost”. We believe we are also to seek after those who are disconnected and have no spiritual family to call home. So we as a church are committed to reaching people who are far from God with the message of salvation. - Luke 5:30-32, Luke 15, Luke 19:10

OUR CORE VALUE that drives this ministry states our belief that lost people matter to God, and that we exist to bring hope by sharing the good news of what God has done through Jesus Christ.

S.ERVING Serving focuses on offering compassionate care for others like Christ did. Serving is being the hands and feet and voice of Christ in our contemporary world. For a person to fully understand their purpose in this life, they must be involved in serving God. Ministry is the one area where people discover how their unique abilities not only help the church be Christ to our community and world, but to find inner fulfillment in doing so. Here they are trained and then provided an area to serve within the church. – Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4:11-13

OUR CORE VALUE that drives this ministry states our belief that all baptized believers have great potential in Christ and that each one should be in service to God. This will first and foremost be seen in how we are enabled to help those who have great needs in life that we, as the body of Christ, can help meet, as modeled after Matthew 25:31-43. But this ministry will also benefit the church body as it discovers how its gift of time, talent, and tithe go hand in hand with fulfilling our vision of reaching each new generation for Christ.

T.HANKSGIVING Thanksgiving is worship that focuses on celebrating the victory of Christ. We feel that thanksgiving should be a way of life, not just an activity that takes place on Sunday mornings. It means that we are continually learning how to express through worship the appreciation and love we have for God through His supreme sacrifice for us. – Romans 12:1; Matthew 16:24-25; Hebrews 13:15

OUR CORE VALUE that drives this ministry is that God Inhabits the praise of his people. This alone makes our worship style “fluid”. Being fluid means that, through prayer, we design each worship service in a way that focuses on the best way to get the biblical point of the day across. For example, the structure of the service might be different in itself. In addition, being fluid means that we strive to find a balance between current contemporary and with time honored hymns. Hymns contain some of the rich theology of the Christian faith and should not be forgotten. There is one difference, however. We use an arrangements of that embraces a contemporary sound, which further helps enrich our worship of a God who transcends all time.
